Installation and Performance

Installing the Netgear Nighthawk AC1900 Wi-Fi Range Extender (EX7000) is quick and easy.
After you power up the extender, select the NETGEAR_EXT SSID in your wireless device’s
Wi-Fi control panel. This launches a New Extender Setup page where you must create an
account that requires an email address, password, and two security questions. After that
select a mode (Extender or Access Point) and a Wi-Fi network to connect to, and enter your
router’s Wi-Fi password. You have an option to enter SSID names and assign unique
passwords for each band if you want or you can use the default Wi-Fi names and passwords.
After doing all this you can connect to one of the extender’s bands using your Wi-Fi control

How to enable access control on an EX7000?
By enabling the Access Control feature, you can deny devices from connecting to your

1) Use a computer that is connected to the EX7000 via wired or wireless connection..
2) Launch a web browser such as Internet Explorer, Safari, Mozilla Firefox or Google
3) Enter in the address bar of your web browser. 
4) On the login page, type your Email and Password and click Log in.
5) On the NETGEAR genie page, click on settings and then click on Connected
6) Look for the Wi-Fi devices table.
7) Select enable access control and select the devices that you want to deny access.
Click on save to apply the changes.

Access Control is now set up and only allowed devices will have access to your Wi-Fi
